(LONG BRANCH, NJ) The readers of New Jersey Monthly have spoken, and according to the magazine’s 37th Annual Jersey Choice Restaurant Poll, they say The Butcher’s Block is the “Best New Restaurant” in Central Jersey, a coveted win for Garden State eateries. This comes on the heels of the restaurant winning over the magazine’s restaurant critics in January, when it was named one of the 30 Best New Restaurants in New Jersey.
The Butcher’s Block team says their meat is sourced from small, family-run farms in New York and New Jersey, providing the best ingredients for its dishes. It also doesn’t hurt that the restaurant abuts D’Ambrisi Wholesale Foods (previously Mid Atlantic Foods Distributors), a decades-old meat-distribution company run by the same family.
“Not only do we pride ourselves in having the highest quality local meat available, but we also provide the customer with a cool, hip, fun experience,” explained its owner, Thomas D’Ambrisi.
The Butcher’s Block opened last summer.
“The greatest compliment we can receive is that you feel you are a guest in someone’s house, and that is exactly how we want you to feel when you’re here,” added D’Ambrisi.
