JERSEY CITY Favorite Razza Pizza Artigianale Among Very Best in Nation, Survey Says

(JERSEY CITY, NJ) Dan Richer, the Chef and Owner of Razza Pizza Artigianale has another feather in his impressive pizza-making hat. Richer’s Hudson County restaurant snagged the #4 spot on the Daily Meal’s “101 Best Pizzas in America in 2020” survey, making it the highest-ranking pie in the Garden State (three other NJ pizzas were included).

Our friends at Boozy Burbs, a publication that has been following the survey closely since 2016, have been keeping track of all the NJ joints that made the influential list. Razza, opened in 2012, has cracked the top five for three years in a row, ranking #3 in 2019, and #2 in 2018. An impressive feat considering the stiff competition from fellow pizza-making hotspots in New York and Connecticut.

The Daily Meal website says they rely on reviews from pizza experts, journalists, and readers when compiling the list– taking into account all styles of pizza.

And if you needed another reason to turn up your state pride up a bit higher, Richer is a born-and-bred New Jerseysite who hails from Matawan, and a Rutgers alum to boot.
